Sooner or later your computer may stop responding to keyboard and or mouse. The last thing you will do is to pull the cord from the wall. This may force you much sooner to buy another computer. The are 3 steps to follow: First - Do nothing for say one minute or two. You may see an hour glass as the mouse cursor. The computer is thinking and may need time to finish a last step. If nothing happens after a few of minutes you may have to right click on the TASKBAR at the bottom of the screen and select Task Manager. The task manager window opens and you will look for a line that says “non responding”. Click on that program to highlight it and click on the END TASK button below. If you mouse is frozen you will press 3 keys on the keyboard. simultaneously: Ctrl Alt and Delete. At this point the TASK MANAGER window should appear
Now, the program that was non responding will shut down and you may be able to continue working. A good practice at this time is to restart the computer (START - TURN OFF COMPUTER - RESTART).
